C.A.F.E.'S - Children Anointed For Evangelism

The Children's Ministry at 1st UPC has an extensive range of educational, recreational, and spiritual activities for children including Sunday morning classes, Shekinah Kids, Children's Choir, and various other activities throughout the year. C.A.F.E.'s is committed to teaching children about God's Word, His love, and Christian values for daily living to help develop a solid foundation of truth in the hearts of our children. C.I.P. - Christian Intervention Program

C.I.P. Ministries, is a unique and comprehensive Bible based program designed to instruct the chemically dependent and bring them out of the bondage of alcohol and other drugs. Classes are set up where a student can join at any point and never be behind. Classes are held every Sunday evening at 5:00 and last for one hour. Deaf Interpretation Ministry

The Deaf Interpretation Ministries of 1st UPC offers interpretation for the deaf and the hearing impaired. A hearing interpreter is available during services to translate using a combination of Signed English and American Sign Language (ASL). This allows the deaf to experience and participate in all areas of a service.

A powerful new area of our Deaf Interpretation Ministries is the Heavenly Hush Sign Team. This group reaches not only the deaf, but also hearing individuals through the use of Interpretive Signing. Dream Makers - ages 40-54

The Dream Makers of 1st UPC promote spiritual and Christian fellowship for all adults ages 40-54, married or single. The purpose of this ministry is to create a network of friendships by providing a spiritual atmosphere for social gatherings. Fundraising

This ministry is dedicated to raising funds on a monthly basis to implement the Operation Freedom program. Operation Freedom is a united effort of the entire church family to be free of the debt from the purchase of our new property where we will someday soon build a new facility! Go-Getters - ages 20-39

The Go-Getters target individuals between the ages of 20-39, single or married, in college or out of college, with kids or without kids. Hospitality

Greeters are on duty before each service. They welcome all who come to worship, hand out monthly newsletters and various flyers, and assist all visitors. Each service, ushers are on hand to ensure the comfort of each worshipper. They are available throughout the service to assist as needed. Media

The Media Ministry is a team of skilled technicians who faithfully monitor and maintain the quality of sound in every service and special event at 1st UPC. Music

Music is an integral part of the 1stUPC worship service. As soon as you enter the doors of the sanctuary, you will be blessed by the anointed singing, praise and worship. The Music Ministry, including the Adult Choir and the Praise and Worship Team, sets the tone for worship services, performs dramas, and provides music for special events. Prayer

Prayer coverage is vital and very necessary for the continued growth and success of any ministry. 1st UPC is on the cutting edge of intercessory prayer. Saturday Night Life

Singles/Divorce Care

Our Single Adults are an active group of individuals from college students to successfully career minded men and women. This group meets at least once a quarter for fun and fellowship.

Visitation Ministry

This ministry operates with one mission in mind — getting people to church so they can experience the powerful presence of Jesus Christ. Our transportation staff understand that if they can provide a means for people to arrive at church, these people will encounter an opportunity for spiritual growth. Edge to Edge

"The Word of the Lord is quick and powerful and sharper than any two-edged sword..." (Hebrews 4:12) Edge to Edge is a team of teenagers who are dedicated to the study and memorization of the Scripture. These young people participate in Bible Quiz tournaments organized by the United Pentecostal Church International. The team meets regularly for practice.
